Coffee Review

ETHIOPIA SIDAMO GUJI

Sold out.

"Remarkably clean-finishing dried-in-the-fruit profile. Opulently sweet but crisp: roses, nut, cocoa, molasses, black tea. Balanced, well-integrated acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Extraordinarily rich, sweet-toned, densely flavor-saturated finish. The aromatic fireworks of a fine dried-in-the-fruit Ethiopia with none of the fermenty downside. Splendid coffee." Ken Davids, CoffeeReview.com, October 2011

This coffee is grown in the Guji area of southern Ethiopia's Sidamo province. It is dry processed, meaning the cherries are sundried on raised tables before the beans are removed. Dry processing gives coffee a fruitier, more complex sweetness than wet (or washed) processing.
