KODUKAK is a member of the large umbrella group COOPAC, a certified organic and Fair Trade cooperative of farmers throughout Rwanda's coffee growing region. COOPAC operates more than 50 washing stations and has successfully improved both the quality of coffee and the quality of life for thousands of coffee farmers. In addition to ensuring that farmers receive fair prices for their crops, COOPAC has helped build a school, health-care clinics, roads and bridges. It also helps farmers acquire cows and goats and teaches advanced conservation and cultivation techniques.
